About.
Hi, I'm Fergus Magor and this is my personal website. I'm a curious South African programmer, and former product manager who loves designing and building products that provide value to users and communities! I currently work at an Insurance firm as a Front-End Software Engineer on the Architecture team. Prior to that I was a mobile developer at pre-seed social-tech and personal productivity startup leading the engineering efforts, and before that I spent a couple years working as a Product Manager at a FinTech company in the Fund-of-Hedge-Fund space, contributing to the development of their investment analytics and portfolio management software. Prior to that I studied Sustainable Development & GeoScience at the University of Edinburgh. I'm interested in a wide variety of stuff from programming, product design, problem solving, machine learning and startups, to sustainability, neuroscience, behavioral finance, music, cinema, art, fly-fishing, basketball, and photography.
